What is the difference between the Equinox 600 and the 800?
In very simple terms, both machines scan in exactly the same multifrequencies in Multi-IQ mode so no difference there at all. On both machines you can also detect by selecting to scan in a single frequency at a time. The 600 allows you to manually select from 5khz, 10khz and 15khz. The 800 allows you to select from an additonal 2 frequencies, 20khz and 40khz which the 600 does not.

The two higher frequencies help you to find smaller gold. That does not mean that the 600 won't find gold, it absolutely will. You just cannot select one of those two higher frequencies to manually help you find some. So if you're not searching for gold nuggets, it is likely the 600 will provide you with everything you need as it will still find small gold, provided you're in Multi-IQ mode.

The 800 also has an additional 2 programs for you to store your own custom settings, plus much finer control over the speed and various other settings that on the 600.

But remember, BOTH Minelab Equinox 600 and 800 dectectors scan in 5 frequencies at the same time when using Multi-IQ mode.

Both machines offer Bluetooth for wireless headphone connectivity but the 800 also comes with a WM08 wireless module for a very fast sound response within the supplied headphones.
